Amber Smith - Introspective (2008)
Hungarian :P u dont even know :P 5/10
British Sea Power - Do You Like Rock Music (2008)
Fantastic album, i m sure it will be in my top10 at the end of 2008 10/10
Caesars - Strawberry Weed (2008)
Not bad at all... 7/10
Cloud Cult - Feel Good Ghosts (2008)
Also a nice production... 8/10
Forward, Russia! - Life Processes (2008)
Big bullshit... 3/10
Goldfinger - Hello Destiny (2008)
Average... 5/10 -> 6/10 coz the Ian Watkins song
Nine Inch Nails - Ghosts (2008)
Also average... 6/10
Panic! At The Disco - Pretty Odd (2008)
Beatles at the Disco, not bad, just not their old style 8/10
POD - When Angels And Serpents Dance (2008)
Failed... 3/10
REM - Accelerate (2008)
Some nice songs... 6/10
Supergrass - Diamond Hoo Ha (2008)
Easily the best of supergrass... 9/10
The Courteeners - St. Jude (2008)
Average album but the song "Aftershow" gives +2... 7/10
The Kooks - Konk (2008)
Kooks skill... 8/10
The Last Shadow Puppets - The Age Of The Understatement (2008)
Alex Turner from Arctic Monkeys + vocalist of Rascals... overhyped but good 8/10
The Mars Volta - The Bedlam in Goliath (2008)
bullshit... 4/10
The Raconteurs - Consolers of the Lonely (2008)
2008's 2nd very very disappointing album... 6/10

hmm well i think its also cool like the other ones (still its not the best), i think you just dont like it because of the song speed (they minimized it).

still waiting for the new disturbed and the new dope album...hopefully they will be better.

"Tempting as it may be, don't read the dropping of the exclamation point from Panic at the Disco's name as a sign that the emo quartet is in a rush to be taken seriously. Don't even take their blatant aping of Sgt. Pepper's on Pretty. Odd as indication that Panic at the Disco wants to be taken seriously. There doesn't seem to be a serious bone within the bodies of any of the four members, but the wondrous thing about Pretty. Odd is that it's impossible to discern what silliness is intentional and what is accidental, the product of a band discovering the Beatles long after their 2005 debut A Fever You Can't Sweat Out turned into a hit. There's a startling naïveté to PATD's sudden immersion in symphonic psychedelic pop; the band is either too young or dumb to not realize that they're putting together familiar elements wrong, or that they shouldn't be attempting the baroque ballads and vaudeville shuffles that pepper this album..."

The reviewer keeps going on about how they don't know what they're doing, but ends up saying it's good nevertheless because they copied the "Fab Four". Got 4 out of 5 stars aswell. ;)

Jonny Greenwood - There will be blood OST

Thoose are my favourites, especialy Portishead since I've been waiting for them to release a new album for atleast a few years + the album is just what I like, dark melodic tunes, great vocals by Beth as always..the only album so far that I could compare with Kid A from Radiohead.

Raconteurs new album isn't bad at all, it's definitely a grower, J. White as usual shows the creativity he has, and maybe besides Portishead's Threads, Consolers of the lonely has the best " finisher " song " Carolina Drama ".

My biggest dissapointment so far is Gnarls Barkley with their 2nd album " The Odd Couple " which sounds pretty much as a replica of their first work. Not that's its bad tho, but comparing with the first one, it's clear they had no inspiration...

Best defined as Trip-hop, which actualy is a mix from alot genres, and it's pretty much chill based, with downtempo tunes and bass lines.

You could compare thoose three directly, however each of thoose 3 has an extra element the other doesn't. :)

these are the only '08 release i bought so far. quite some preordered thingies to be shipped though. well, musicwise 2008 has been a quite ok year so far. could have bought far more so far, but i tend to combine orders to save postage.
