edit: me haz E8400 & Enermax Liberty 500W
no problems so far...
try disabling threaded optimisation
it's smth like multidisplay opengl acceleration, try putting it to single "display perfomance mode"
C2D E6750
8800GT
such a system does not need more than 250W under pressure.
so u know now what piece of hardware u need.
Edit: proof

i have 8800gt and oced rest
of the system it does not
take more than 250W out of
the plug, i have such a counter
before the multiway connector.
playing HIGH+ games for ages
8800gts 320mb
550W random psu
- if you want smtn futureproofed Arkangel 850W, even if its LC :P
- if you want a good performance and silent PSU, then Corsair or Enermax i'd say
what about that one? would that be cheap and good? cant see any price here tought http://corsair.com/products/vx.aspx
im in a trap :[
NEVER save money on your PSU and get a cheap one, it's the most important part of your system. A cheap one can kill everything starting from the mobo to the videocard in your system :)
now you gotta spend extra money to get another one, when you coulda added 20€ to the old PSU price and gotten a good PSU
i dont even think its the psu's problem
so 600w is more than enough for any singlegfx pc
bequiet 750w
