I mainly use it to get in touch with transfer students that have been in finland for some time but have left by now, nearly all of my friends are not using facebook.
with my point being, facebook shouldnt be considered any sort of way to keep in touch with your friends, meet them irl, call them, even chat with them on msn (noy prefered)
in the uk almost every student now has facebook, probably 95%+, all my friends are irl on it - but yeh sure meeting them irl is better
i like facebook for sharing photos of the night before or w/e (tagging system iz nice), and using the wall to make arrangements/meetings in the same way i would a text
