ps3 monitor question

I want to connect my ps3 into my samsung sm226cw monitor but it has only one vga slot which is already taken up by my pc connection.
I have a hdmi to vga cable for the ps3 to play in high definition but no other vga slot on the monitor
is there anyway that i can get it so that the ps3 is in high deff though my monitor? and i can still use the monitor with my pc?

is it better to use a vga box or is a tv card for the pc better (quality/performance-wise)?
