Howdy xfire

Dear diary,
I am supposed to hold a lesson on British surveillance systems on Wednesday and now I need prepare material for it. I'm gently asking the beloved xfire community to support me in finding any proper information like links to articles, studies, graphs or surveys. I'm thanking thee in advance.

i saw a tv show about all those cctv camera's
pretty cool, how about you try to search the british goverment website and see if there is info there?

i recommend just reading George Orwell's 1984, it's almost an accurate representation of modern day England

I have ~2 days. If I start reading now I suppose I'll be done by... the break before lesson, awesome!

But I seriously thought about adding extracts from there and letting class compare it to modern day England. Would be supercool if you could advise some chapters or paragraphs which you could image to be fitting for me, since you obviously have read the book. =)

The thing is that today is almost over, tomorrow is planned with finishing a report on a work experience that is demanded. And if I have the time to read a book it would be "Red Dust" for English adv. class =(

well basicly (white) people are under constant surveillance by telescreens or something, they hear and see everything.
It's a great book but i can't recall the important parts (for surveillance)

That's what I know myself lol =) But since I haven't read it and only got it as an e-book I wanted to know which parts I have to look at closer to find important information on what I need :) thanks anyways <3

You really should read it, and stop asking for spoilers. :P

If you just add some references to "big brother", "Ministry of love" and call modern day Britain "Orwellian", then maybe they will think that you've actually read the book. :)

It's just that I don't read as much as I would like to. It's like tidying up: You have to get over starting, but once you're done you feel awesome :p
