Laptop Choice

Since the local shop is taking the piss with my laptop, i've cancelled my order and decided to go for a XPS or a Vaio.

What would you recommend?

Budget is £850-£1300

wait for new dell latitude E series (it comes out in July) and what i have seen at 'close for public' presentation , it will ROX!

or take XPS!

DO NOT GET A VAIO, they look good but thats all they're good for.

I'd recommend going for a vostro over an XPS but, dells in general are the way to go

Yeah apoligies i just went over the Dell site they've nerfed the vostros so they cant game because they were basically cheap versions of the XPS's - my vostro runs all games fine, but the new ones are shite.

So go for the XPS, you do pay a little bit of a premium with Dell but its WELL worth it.

Make sure you get;

2gig ram minimum
Intel Proset wireless
9 Cell Battery

But its just a Dell Vostro, maybe look in the small business section of your dell site as they are marketed for business in competition with the thinkpads
