Rules, why there are even rules?

So we just played one of these cups just moment ago, there are rules:

- No CB/ESL banned players allowed, no red yawns, no ex-banned players.
- All players must record demos

Ofc when i see there are some random nonames, well i havent heard any of them before I decide to yawn them and see there are some christmas lights after all here

still admin lets them to play, why? why post such rules then, discuss!

and yes, i know its 3 years ago, still don't make such rules if u dont follow them or make them more accurate or something.

And the cup was #addictsklan.cup

but it's nothing new that admins of such cups create rules only for good-looking advertisement (e.g. news item) or only for their friends/themselves

btw: I'm not saying all admins are doing it

they just copy paste the rules from some other random cup and dont even read it through.
then they usually search some random admins in IRC (prolly cheaters aswell) and the corrupion starts!
