headset ?

I am in need of a new headset since my headset is rly gay and it beeps when i shoot and i dont hv ingame sound (snd_restart) helped in the beginning but it doesnt help now

so what headset should i get ?

yea, sometimes i hear people complaining about their ears being crunched if they wear their headset too long >:) never got that though

Already wasted over 150€ on decent headsets, always break or I break them :/ 12€ A4Tech headsets from now on :x

really pissed me off when my medusa 5.1 quit working, its laying in a box in my cabinet where I keep my electronic stuff... RIP

also my stereo medusa broke arround the same time, I ripped the cable out and jumped on it while swearing like a madman :X

imo you should get one of those DJ headphones from a company like AKG, KOSS, Sennheiser etc...
1. they have MUCH more experience than these gaming companies which base their sales on gymics, marketing bullshit and saying a pr0 player uses their stuff...
2. its not a bet, you know you get a quality product.

i use a sony mdr-xd100 (its a very cheap one) and its superb
have it more than a year, it always falls on the ground and still loyally serves me.
but anyway, gl with any hs you get.

my friend uses one and the microphone quality is like in a damn studio
if you have enough money the more expensive PC series have USB cable if that interests you.

actually a dj headset is a pretty bad choice if you wanna use it for gaming, since those headsets set other priorities than the ones created for gaming. the sound is way more unbalanced since they care alot more about bass than about the heights. i'd tell everyone to stick with a steelseries 5H or Siberia since the sound quality is perfect for gaming, you can wear them for hours and they are basically unbreakable.
but thats just my piont of view :-)

most of the gaming shit is made in china and the wiring is poorly soldered, if he has the right tools he can buy better cables and rewire the headset but thats just another story.
about the bass thing, you may be right, but in my headset the basses are pretty weak (as i said, cheap dj hs) and i always can recognize is someone is coming from behind, right, left, above or under.

well if you want a headphone/headset with nice wiring and good quality there's no other way than spending some money for it. and from my experience with headsets (and i tried quiet alot) i can say that those 2 steelseries headsets offer a great quality for that price.

I went through 2 pairs, neither of them broke but the earpadding peeled away from the headphone on both, and the microphone started falling apart (sucks anyway tbh).

never hand any problem with mine, it fell so many times on hard ground, slept on it, listen to it alot in my bed so i lay on it with my head. Nothing wrong with it after 2.5 years.
