Question to teh Fins

Hi, is there a standard credit card in Finland Finland, which you can use in all stores? Here in Denmark Denmark we have the Dankort.

The reason I ask is because I am, as some might now, going to Finland in the fall, so I need to get a bank account and stuff. If someone also have some experience with having Nordea as bank, feel free to tell me how they are, because I might create an account through the Danish Nordea.

Basically every bank/credit card works everywhere.

Except if you got something important to buy and you have only one card, it just so happens that it won´t work there :)

I have Finnish Nordea account, nothing bad to say about it, net-bank works fine etc.

Afaik if you get an account at Nordea in Denmark the basic bank card works almost everywhere in Finland too. At least it works for my swedish friend who has an swedish account at Nordea. Thou he said there's a small service fee for everything you buy, so I recon it would be cheaper to get a finnish account.

In case you didn't know, we do not have Euro in Denmark. So I would have to pay the exchange rate all the time, if I were to use a Visa or the likes.

I'd suggest you to create a new account in Nordea Finland to avoid the service fee. =) And Nordea has been really reliable to me.

About the credit cards, such as Master Card, EuroCard, in case you use them, should work fine everywhere. You will have problems only with Visa Electron (I doubt you have it thou) since some of the smaller stores are lacking its support!

Ps. How long you will stay here? :p

Moving forward, just had the smallest defeat ever to Russia yesterday, "only" lost 1-4 (should have been 1-3). But it is a very young team, so they are all really optimistic about the next decade.

and btw..u might remind 1998, when VEU Feldkirch (austrian team) won the Euroleage title vs Dynamo Moskau in the final... they also won a challenge match vs the nhl team of toronto i think!! :D

yeah I think so or at least he would be able to play there ,even though his stick handling aint best availeable,despite of that he is pretty good goalie

some Finnish hockey forums + there was some rumours about his transfer

yes i agree, he aint complete tbh.. like b-wm for austria he played quite bad. but ofc it was a hurry from finland to austria and then he played games where he had like 15 shots to save. u dont even get warm of those...but i'd like to see him @ nhl :)

yes ofc...quite easy wins...but they had the best team tbh...vanek also played for austria this time, cause the sabres didnt make it into the playoffs :-]

All we get to hear is all about your silly trips to a local gas station but when you'd have something sensible to ask/talk you go to a random forum... And then people wonder why Arachon get teamkilled in every one of our matches...
