I heard a story that microsoft cut off last SP3 because of some incompatibles with another software, but i didn't see any problems with last SP3 released which was totally rtm version.
Few days ago microsoft has officially released their third service pack on Microsoft Download Center and has been uploaded to Windows Update and Microsoft's servers.
For those who still haven't downloaded yet and want to update their systems here are the links: English, German, Hebrew, Polish, Russian,
This service pack contains all previously-released Windows XP updates, including security updates, out-of-band releases, and hotfixes released since August 2004.
There are reportedly 1,073 fixes in SP3, and various performance improvements. (at least they say so)
Have fun!

No high-priority updates for your computer are available. To select other updates, use the options to the left."
I updated a few days ago when I read the 1st thread about Official release of XP-SP3, cant remember who posted it now, searched for it but looks like its been deleted.
Like I said in the other thread (the one I can no longer find)
Installed with nps (apart from me being on the vodka and forgetting to stop my anti-virus+firewalls before hand), I cant see any improvements/differences ect, so if it aint broke, dont fix it.
Im just one of those that likes to try these kind of updates and find bugs ect, that comes with being old I guess :p
P.S if you are running eathier Kaspersky or NOD32 (may be others also but they are the 2 I use), make sure you disable before downloading the SP3 update.
On install, it also checks you have a valid key, just a little heads up.
