In case AVG users missed this, you'll need to upgrade your 7.5 to 8.0 before 31st of May. They'll stop updating 7.5 by then.

Of all the antivirus softwares i've ever tried, AVG is the best no doubt. It HAS found viruses in my computer and managed to delete them without problems.

There is no free version of nod32 so i'm sticking with AVG since it's free and handy.

I know, warez is easy. But think about it, how many companies offer free antivirus-software alongside with commercial software? AVG is nearly the only one and it's GOOD :)

kaspersky & bitdeffender got better results, panda is more favorite than nod32, but nod32 is good pick

Not for me... even on xp i never used anti viruses or a firewall and everything worked perfectly...
I will explain why.
I never go on warez sites, never on porn sites, I am careful! I avoid suspicious sites etc...
It's not hard at all.
Besides, all viruses are made by antivirus companies who just want to make some easy money :) I know you will say It's bullshit and I think you are right, but not updating my antivirus/firewall everyday and not being afraid from viruses/hackers makes my life easier.

It's not whether you visit suspicious sites or not, viruses spread everywhere. Let me give you quick example:

I re-installed Windows, but since I didn't have any antivirus / firewall -software, i had to connect to internet without any protection. Almost immediatly a virus got into my computer and the only option was to re-install the system once again.

I suggest you download at least antivirus software pal :)

For someone who uses computer a lot of hours a day i can tell if it works correctly or not.
Besides installed Vista few months ago and it works just like the first day.

it is extremely adviced to have somewhat protection in your pc, but if you think you are such a proffesor i wont get you stuck on your way...

you are wrong, adaware / spy sweeper are way better than AVG spyware protection,
nod32 is decent but the free is shit, and kaspersky + panda are WAY over his lvl

virusscanners & firewalls etc are for losers..

just get spybot and/or ad-aware maybe cc cleaner too and youll be fine :/

Well if i haven't had problems since the day i started using AVG, there's no way in hell i'm gonna start switching it now. Totally free software, doesn't eat cpu and is extremely efficient.
