Tomorrow Band Recordings

Yeh, tomorrow we're gonna record some serious noise with our band (Reign of War).

We have recording equipment (including professional microphones, mixpanels, software, etc), but we need good tips on how to make this go as good as possible, and also some tips on how to / what's the best way to afteredit every recorded sample would be nice :)

From software, I have:

Cubase 4
Audioforge 8
Soundbooth CS3

Also, we'll be using a metronome @ headset while recording all the samples, so it'll all flow together rly good :>

Random bandphoto with 3 of our dudes, the 2 guitar players and me:

Uhm there are no special things to know about recording, maybe recording the instruments could be a bit difficult. Do you plug them from the amp into the pc/whateveryouuseforrecording or record by a mic? Better you record with a good mic instead of the amp-thingy.
You shouldnt record like: I record 20sec of this cuz its all the time the same and i just loop it with my software - fail. Record all the instrument parts in the same length like they should be in the final mp3.
what is your part in the band? carrying water? ;(
Ask your dad?
