WOW Teddy can play CRYSIS !

I once tried to play CRYSIS, I allready knew then 95% sure that it's not going to work on my PC & yea, after it finished loading map my PC simply crashed.. & rebooted itself.

Now like half a year later, with no improvements in my PC rig, I can actually play the frkin game on my own PC.. Eventhough it's with 10-20 FPS & the lowest graphics. Im going to finish it and then I can say; "Yup, it's actually a good game, I finished it quite some time ago, strongly recommend it!" And why I was so suprised.. ?

Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor 3500+, MMX, 3DNow, ~2.2GHz
Memory: 1280MB (Noobest ram, dunno what they call it - DDI or something)
Video Card: ATI RADEON X550
Operating System: Windows XP Home Edition
Sound Card: Realtek AC97 Audio
Hard Drive: 250 GB

Eventhough I don't have the time to search for the minimum requirements..
Im actually quite sure thats lower than the lowest : D

Can You play CRYSIS, mwhaha ?! XD

just open ET 2 times or render a movie or sth then you won't get stable fps

so aren't you playing ET on your better pc because you can't get stable fps or are you playing ET on your worse pc because you can play better with unstable fps? 8D

same for me, e6750 + 8800gt etc, cant play ET stable but can play crysis very high 1280x1024 40fps

it's cause of punkbuster

he meant sth else imo^^ at least I understood that he can't play good with stable fps (he actually can do it @ his better pc but he doesn't want to because it's better for him to play with unstable fps) but it could be that I misunderstood him! 8D

because of "threaded optimisation @ on" and "Multi-display/mixed-GPU acceleration @ Multiple display perfomance mode"

yes, that can be it, but it's also punkbuster and ET not handling dualcore correctly (diffrent solutions on every platform - core2duo users say that running ET on 1 core helps, but I know for a fact that on older netburst dualcores you NEED to set affinity on 2 cores, otherwise it's unplayable)

just wanted too see what's that + ive got some programming task @ university which i have to do in linux soon
nah it's not the hardware, that happened because ive got software RAID (it's at all modern intel chipsets :/). So i had to install dmraid package first and after that ubuntu saw my disks
so i chose a partition to install (the one on my 1st raid array where windows and 90% of files are located :X) ubuntu started formatting it and suddenly showed me an error message that formatting failed blablabla and then i saw that all my partitions vanished and 1 the whole disk xfs partition appeared :X
So the whole weekend i was installing new windows and recovering hundreds of gigabytes :F
anyway i will try to install it on my old single harddrive

x'DDD when I tried to install it again on my new pc I got a USB-DVD error or sth o_O and when I pressed a key @ my keyboard it had a huge delay and repeated the key I pressed the whole time like: aaaaaaaaaaaaaaa when I only pressed a.

well i dont think there might be any "unsupported hardware" problems.
those are "unsupported noob hands" problems ;D there is a lot of different manuals and FAQS, so i suppose i'll install it at my 2nd attempt

I just installed it again and yes there are unsupported hardware. the problem was that ubuntu didn't detect my tv-card properly but now it's working fine. <3 If you have any questions about Linux then ask me.
