buy ram, its really cheap

http://www.blackviper.com/WinXP/servicecfg.htm = extra free ram. You can really take apart your windows and only keep the bare minimum running, which will save you about 100MB on ram space.

I recommend "SAFE" settings, though you could push it even further if you know what you are doing.
