UK & Ireland don't take this seriously because the winner has to pay to host next years competition. It costs an extortionate amount to put on such a shitty event, hence why you get acts like Dustin and Scooch (hellooooo gayness!).
It's a drain on the economy and I don't pay taxes so we can put on some piss poor show.
