if people on irc say that they are high there is a 99,9per cent chance that they are only med, that's how it works @ css.
And u cant become high in just a few days.... css is about tactics, gameplay and understanding+brain+experience+control

well ~2 years ago i was in a mid+ CS:S team

but seriously, the learning curve for CS:S is ridiculous, there is next to no skill in the game, even ET in the way. When was the last time you started sweating whilst playing CS:S?

cs:s is easy as shit, we searched low first, me and banaan were playing cs:s for the first time on war, i only played it once before at a friends house for a couple of rounds (i knew the maps from 1.6 tho), they kicked us for 'skillfake' and then we got medskill and raped them also lolz

give me some nice clan with tactics and i'll be med+ in css, like almost everyone else

although i don't see how 1.6 is related to my point of css being easy, i did play 1.6 for a few years (like ~2005/6) and was about medskilled

u dont need more skill, its just different... i played few 1.6 gathers and didnt do that bad for that i am a css player.
Just get used to whatever u play, may it be cs 1.6 or css. If u get used to the gameplay you can control it.

i would argue that 1.6 indeed does need more skill, because of the hitboxes and diffrent spread and recoil.

the gameplay is different, movement etc.

the recoil and spread is much higher...
i personally like the gameplay @ source more

Thats what you think, its more like the aimlevel, its all about tactic and ingame coordination. Everyone is overrating himself @ css, just like all the med+'ers on crossfire.

thats my point - put me in a clan that has nice tactics and i'm instantly med+ because my aim is sufficient to play on med+ level even when i've played 2 games of css - that isn't a skilled game.

its not only about the clans tactics.... css is about experience and control, which you both can not have after few days of playing.
