Dbz no, takes 30 episodes to come back to the same point : Everyone is alive, possibly ressurected, having fun and dancing all around untill some random comet comes and destroys half of the world which gets magically rebuilt 2 months after as the super heros combined together, died about a billion time (Hi Goku) and killed the monster 4 times (Hi Freezer)

I hadn't watched anime since Fullmetal Alchemist was over. But somehow I tried Death Note and immediately got hooked. It's a very dark story and only has 37 episodes. The storyline is sometimes just woooow. 2nd most intelligent anime I ever watched, right after "Monster".
