File archiver software

What's your file archiver software,
Is it WinRAR? WinZip? or 7-Zip?

I couldn't extract a regular .exe file with WinRAR so i tried the free 7-Zip and it worked well. now i'm thinking if to stay using 7-Zip as my default file archiver except it doesn't support .rar archives format and i prefer .rar files on .zip :|

7-z does support rar. right-click on rar - 7-zip - extract files... and done

Ye, it does support extracting but not Adding to .rar file archive. as you can see in picture

winace is also cool imo... anyway sometimes winrar won't extract newer rar archives so make sure you always have the newest version.

Well, actually i have the most recent version and even tried the WinRAR 3.80 Beta 1 because i thought the same but still it didn't work.

I think i'll stay with WinRAR since i prefer using .rar archives and i'm not extracting .exe files that often.

Think so, but stuff like 7-zip is also open source so maybe check sourceforge for an archive manager

I think i'll just stay with WinRAR since i prefer using .rar archives and i'm not extracting .exe files that often.

It was a one-time error i hope. since it's the 1st time that i couldn't extract a regular .exe

Tugzip is another free alternative that does rar.
