If i'm not a jew and non in my family believes in this religion.
In israel live only jews, who have jewish blood (your mom or dad is a jew) right? but both my parents are not. my mother even completely not, she has no jewish roots at all.
My father's mother (my grandmother) is also not from both parents side. but from my father's father side his father had some roots,
My father > his father (my grandfather) > his father (my great-grandfather) so his father was half a jew.
Now read the rules of judaism, terms|conditions of being a jew. it says that:
You can be a jew if only your mom has jew blood.
I never had "brit milah" (circumcision) and i never celebrated "bar mitzvah".
