INTERNET..SERIOUS BUSINESS #1..

Well it seems that i cant play ET when some other family member is using the internet because i get 300+ ping. (they download and youtube etc -.-)

Is there any way i can make ET use up more bandwidth than them or limit there bandwidth so i can play at times when others are using the internet. I have 1mb atm but i had the same problem when i had 4mb inet.

So any suggestions?

even if its a contract you always can upgrade (not downgrade though) because if they earn from it they will upgrade it for you

Get a decent router where you can limit bandwidth to each pc on your network :)


http://www.draytek.com/product/adsl2plus/vigor2800.php works well for me, but there are cheaper versions/makes available that do similar things :)

i got 10 mb inet wich is so good i can download 10 movies and i will still have 48 ping. and we got router to other computer wich use brother and parents. if they download porn or what ever i will still have 48 ping...


in this case with 1mb net i belive he got ping 500+

think befor you say something or just shut your whore mouth

lol, downloads will cause a higher ping or random lags u cant tell me that u dont get lags if u download smth (maybe if u download nubtorrents with 5kb/s then u dont get lags) even with 10mbit
so do urself a favour and learn abit about internet n stuff before u talk bullshit, stupid little kid

Just pull out and put in there connection if they come ask you you did it you say no and tell em you got same problem if you do it fast after each other they will leave there pc

The lack of bandwidth is the problem so netlimiter @ _their_ pc should do the trick.
