I recently decided to buy a new lcd tv , after some searching i came to this one :
http://www.komplett.nl/k/ki.aspx?sku=333306&cks=ASS&assoc=968205F8-B977-40E0-ACC1-0442A4334C59
i tought it was a really decent tv for a decent price since i read good reviews about it.
But now the father of a friend of mine is gonna buy :
http://www.komplett.be/k/ki.aspx?sku=348436
and i was wondering why in the hell a smaller tv with less contrast costs 400 euros more ?
a lot of tv's cost more then the samsung while they have worse specs.
Somebody explain to me why they costs more and what i should look out for when buying a lcd tv ( except for size, contrast & reso )

learn to search with google!
Basically every new LCD on >40" is FullHD.
Need for 100Hz? How about the colors? Gaming or not for gaming?
You shouldn't concentrate too much on contrast, since manufacturers tend to tell them in a different ways. Most of those numbers are for dynamic contrast.
For around 1000e there isn't big differences between the LCD's, but for good 2000e you get more options and differences too.
- I tend to watch series and movies with it , i don't have any console so gaming is out of the question.
thx for ze help btw
I'd suggest you take some time and go to a local store that has numerous models and try them out with your own material. Tell them to hook the LCD to a Blu-ray player and play some movie in every of the models you are interested in.
