Mass Effect problem

when i'm trying to enter the galaxy map [NOR-1] on my ship (Normandy) I see black screen and than the galaxy for 1sec or something.. it's like the game is on 1fps or less.. even tho I play the game on the highest settings.. ;\
is there a bug fix or something? tried lowering my graphic settings and the resulution but it didn't helped even a tiny bit :~< what can I do?

is it 100% galaxy? and theres a crackfix, allthought its for the save games problems, maybe it will work too
