Ubuntu 8.04 LTS

I just installed ubuntu today and everything is working fine except sound etc. im new on ubuntu so i have no clue how to fix it


pls help me btw i know there is website known as google

Ahh, I had problems with soundcard only.
You got all sounddrivers/.dev files? What methods have you tried to fix it already?

Go on ubuntu forums and search for sound problems, there is a list/guide to help you somewhere which helps fix most peoples sound probs :>

don't you have sound or does the sound sounds fucked up?
if it is the 2nd: start terminal and enter alsamixer , now mute all the channels you don't use
