Going to buy something like that Good or not? Any tips?

I hope you install XP on that. Fine system tbh..but you could have waited on the new ATI series (4850) What case did you buy?

4 GB is still better than 2 GB, so what if you cant use all of it .. you still have more memory and since the prices of RAM are pretty low nowadays I can't see why this would be a bad thing to do. And I just mentioned that he should install XP since vista is complete shit from what I've heard;

Vista is quite nice imo, especially since SP1 has been released. There were a few issues with copying files etc, but most have been sorted and it's running quite smoothly at the minute!

Nice if you can afford it. You obviously have more money than sense if you're buying a GTX 280 already (drivers aren't very good yet so performance increase over a 9800GX2 is barely there plus the price will be dropping soon), so get a WD Velociraptor instead of your drive.

They have less storage capacity but they're far quicker :-)

just buy a 4870, saves you like 250 euro's. And buy a better CPU or HDD
