i remember reading something about it but cant find it now

Edit: next question, i got steelseries ikari laser mouse how the hell i can turn off negative accel

why would dualcore cause lags? dualcore can freez games, but never heard about lags..
and why can dualcore freez the game?
Parent
some games doesnt support over 1 core used
Parent
yes, but u can use only one core like 1-core-prozessor. Or not?
Parent
u can and this solves the problem, normal dualcore causes freeze
Parent
and how to set only "1-core"-prozess? In ET?
Parent
either by taskmanager or theres forcecore.exe to do so
Parent
btw only ETPro doesnt use 2cores, ETMain yep
Parent
It makes fps jump from 20 to 71
Parent
thats a good thing :O)
yeah i get ur point, are you sure its the dualcore? and in everygame? or just in ET
Parent
Only in ET and yes its the dualcore
Parent
if its ET i doubt its 100% the dualcore, but if so, try to set the affinity to 1 core and see if u have lags? if so google "forcecore.exe"
Parent
i had a intel "logic" dual core 2.8gHz but it was only one cpu then ET used only 50% of that cpu with lowwww fps

do you have a dual core like E6600 or a logic one? :o
Parent
lol i have a 6600 2.4ghz and i dont have really much FPS drops..are you sure that is your CPU the prob?
Parent
dual < non dual core
Parent
eks decemil ollu sama probleema joskus aikasemmi? kysyppä silt
Parent
because the game will be switching between the cores and lag a wee bit every time it switches
Parent
that usually causes freeze :D and im not having problems with my quad tho
Parent
set the affinity of et.exe to only one CPU in task manager
do u know how to get et to start on 1 core automaticaly? cous if i set the affinity to core2 for example, restart the game, then its set to 2 cores again -.-
Parent
just use a minimizer or press alt + enter (that combination? dont know exactly) to get it in windowed mode, then open taskmanager and do it :)
Parent
every single time? -.- thats lame, there has to be some way to get it to do it automaticaly, right?
Parent
hmm well i am not a dual core user, thats just the way snoop always did it.
i dont know if there is an option to run it automatically on one core, i guess you'll just have to look for yourself. :I

but i hope i could help anyway!
Parent
ghehe thnx anyways ;)
Parent
google "forcecore.exe"
Parent
got this fps lags also, but its starts after a while of playing :(
If i'm right u must do smth in the taskmanager with ET's priority
Turn it off.
IT'S NVIDIA DRIVER PROBLEM!
Go to ET profile in the nVidia CP and disable thread optimization.
had the same on new card, thought it needed a warmup :DD

now its hokay
Parent
if i'll have 125fps@grush i'll do a statue to you :D
Parent
So? Is there a statue for meh? :s
Parent
yep cus many times i was on the way to trow all PC outside the windows because of these FPS drops -.-
then if i'll have stable FPS now thx to that i'll become ur fanboI n1 :D:D
Parent
so theres a statue for him? i wanna see if it works, tho i never had fps probs
Parent
i dont know, i came back to home now..tonight in usual clan train i'll see :)
Parent
how i do that? i cant see any options to see ET profile at nvidia CP :S
Parent
Well... go to the Nvidia control panel and look everywhere for application profiles... There should be listed ET also. Im on linux atm and I cant check it out.
Parent
u sir, need to ask perfo
hmm first of all only use one core for ET
and which one r u using? (intel / amd)
i feel it working better if u use amd-dualcore optimizer.. but dunnow if smth like that is avi for intel too
Well u have any idea how to turn of negative accel from my mouse? :<
Parent
DInput thingy helps?
Parent
dont evne know what that is oO :P if you mean that the mouse isn´t moveing with the same speed all the time just google. for some accelfix.reg ore accelfix.exe
Parent
et doesnt support dual core so you have to set et in the taskmanager on one core.

yea its kinda annoying if you have to do that everytime, but you wont lag anymore! :)
I think i know exactly your problem.
Lags are caused by EIST. Running a processor at high clock speeds allows for better performance. However, when the same processor is run at a lower frequency, it generates less heat and consumes less power. In many cases, the core voltage can also be reduced, further reducing power consumption and heat generation.
and how exactly do you disable/fix that?
Parent
go into your BIOS - search for EIST and Speedstep and disable both.
Your CPU is clocking now always as fast as it can. You can check it with a prog called CPUZ.
Parent
cant seem to find it in bios
Parent
AMD CPU ?
:)

which kind of Bios do your have ? or which mainboard ?
Parent
Specification Intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU 6300 @ 1.86GHz

System Manufacturer Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd.
System Name 945PL-S3P
System S/N
Mainboard Vendor Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd.
Mainboard Model 945PL-S3P
BIOS Vendor Award Software International, Inc.
BIOS Version F5c
BIOS Date 01/25/2008
Parent
mmmh strange - maybe your mainboard doesnt support speedstep or eist.

i found a nice review

Parent
just press PUPU and be VÄSYNY. and cus you're PIENI...
=
PIENI PUPU VÄSYNY
I think i know exactly your problem.
Lags are caused by cats. they loose lots of hair and they make dust, and that not good for computers
accelfix.exe
dunno ask perfo <3
negative accel is a hoax !
use 400 dpi
