2 PCs, 1 Internet!

Hi, i am currently @ LAN.

the pc of my mate is connected to the internet and its working and shit. So i connected my PC with his PC via network cable...

But i dont has internet @my computer :/ What do we have to do to get internet @ my PC aswell?

bei mir gehts es wenn ich mein lankabel ganz einfach an den router anschliesse :P

we created a homenetwrok and shit, but its still not working.

if he has to dial the connection --> right click on the connection --> properties --> last field on the right side --> allow other users to use the internet connection
i did that already, if i do it, then the internet doesnt even work on his PC anymore :D

and your network ip has to be automatic

mark connections -> network bridge -> hf
RJ45 crossover cable, (it has to be crossover for direct connections) and then > share inet connection and it's done.
we just bought a crossover xD should work now :p

Yep, just be sure the "firewall and shared inet connection" service is enabled.

First computer: set up IP as 192.168.0.1

second computer: setup IP as 192.168.0.2 and default gateway 192.168.0.1

CCNA Sem 1 xD though.. is it the old version or the new where some routing is included? I hated CCNA Sem 1 cuse it was so totaly boring with all cables and shit :D

Yap, its the new one, we had even some stuff about wlans also, which where not in the old version! :-)

on that pc connected to inet, turn on sharing internet connection in inet settings
you need a different type of cat5 cable, the wires need to cross over (so on one switch they are aligned the opposite way)

or a hub.
