No idea if it will be called RTCW2, I think the official working title is Castle Wolfenstein 2.
There are some rumors concerning the MP part being completely done because a vacancy from Threewave (the company making the MP of "RTCW2") mentions they finished working on it. I've seen the vacancy, however it isn't really a trust able source, seeing Threewave could have mentioned the name for extra credit.
In case the above is true however, it would mean large parts of the single player campaign should be finished as well, seeing the MP probably uses various assets from the SP like player / weapon models, map layouts, etc.
I expect more news to come at the next Quakecon, which takes place from July 31st to the 3rd of August.
Built for console apparently and then is being ported onto PC. Dont know if this is 100% true, but if it is then I wont get my hopes up, most ported games aren't that good.
Well...there is 2 facts due to what I think we cant expect RTCW2 soon.
#1 ETQW didnt sell too good = less money = slower development of RTCW2. Rival W:ET community is partialy to be blamed for that.
#2 The director of "Wolfenstein" the movie, Roger Avary has been arrested in January 2008 for DUI and manslaughter after a friend of his died in a car accident while Avary was at the wheel.
Having in mind they need to release movie and the game at the same time for max profits, that fact doesnt make any good for brining closer RTCW2 release date.

In March 2008, the United States Department of State published a report to Congress, 'Contemporary Global Anti-Semitism', that described Return to Castle Wolfenstein as an 'anti-Semitic video game'
