2.40 PS3 update

Just updated my PS3 to Firmware version 2.40 and it's now broken.

It just sits there where the user list normally is with a wavy line.

My 360 has lasted 2 years 7 months.
My PS3 has lasted 4 months.

Awesome.

Got my 360 day of release, no problems at all. My mate got a PS3 day of release and broke it on THE day of release!

My PS2 is still running! Bought it some weeks after the release. So should be around 7-8 years now ;-)

Same goes for my Dreamcast! Even the old SNES should be still working.

Same for me @ ps2!
My dreamcast is broken for 4 years orso now ;/
My mega drive works just like before when it was brand new.
My ps1 works pretty fine also!

i got a really old NES (like 13 years old or smth, cant remember when i got it) it has a little "wackelkontakt" but besides that its still working fine :))
but these old games still pwn :)

dreamcasts are just solid!

still play Rez, Sonic Adventure, Virtua Tennis, Shenmue etc from time to time

I got a PSX bought after the release in Germany. It's still working (to some extent), but it was repaired several times. Always the same parts (the drive!) when it comes to Sony products, therefore I hate their quality.

my ps3 was also fucked after 2months or so. when we put in a CD , "UMD" didn't appear anymore.. we sent it to Sony ages ago, but still no response.. those dogs

Why dont you take it into your local game and ask the nice manager to replace it? :PPP

You can't actually access the Playstation interface as it won't boot. It's just a piece of useless plastic sitting there at the moment.

I'll exchange it for one if Sony ever send us some. Not had stock for ages which sucks.

you can send it to sony i think and they sort it out but it takes like 3 weeks :)

just checked eurogamer website thing and alot of people have got it, just hoping mine doesnt get it now its halfway through install :\
