hd 4870!!

i am playing for 2 weeks on a broke graphic card. Now my mom just went for the store for the last hd4870!she will be home in a couple of minutes.
Can't wait.
anybody of you already has it?
is there another 6-pin power connector in the box of the sapphire one? cause i only have one

edit: minutes?wtf? seems to take hours!

i drove to many stores already but they never had it, or said that they had it but it was an 4850.
My mom went to a friend of her close to the computerstore , so she might ass well get it for me...

a sapphire 4850 is good too.. i was planning on including it in my new PC. why are you so keen on having a 4870 if a 4850 is good aswell?
oh yeah, is the club 3D ati 4850 the same as the sapphire ati 4850?

brand doesnt matter alot, only the extra's u get with the card.

4850 is the best price/quality. but the hd 4870 is very impressive .beats the nvidea gtx260 wich is 100 euro more expensive. It is also the first card ever who uses gddr5 instead of 3.
+ the 4850 heats up to 100°C because off the single slot cooling.
4870 has dual slot cooling and therefore doesn't get so hot

I would buy sapphire cause the label is more known and has better garantee i think.If you have a choice->sapphire

240 euro or something. you can get it cheaper but i don't want to wait anymore.
4850 is 160 euro or something and don't get me wrong it is a very nice card. But you might want to have another cooler on the 4850.

hmm it's a bit hot (77ºC idle) but if you change the fan to 50% it drops 30ºC or more.
i dont know anything about that connector lol
drivers seem fine, using catalist 8.6 hotfix atm

no 1 gig version out yet, but it's soon to come. Imo 20-30euro more than 512mb versions.
