I guess this is something that has been discussed before but I am bringing it up again.
What do your parents/family/partners think of ET (Not general gaming) and what do they think of it?
My Dad isn't that bothered but my Mum always comes upstairs or whatever and says "I need a medic" or something, just randomly for fun. She thinks I spend to much on the game but she tolerates it (apart from the leccy bill ;) )
Would also be interesting to see what other parents say about your ET obsessions or even your wife as I'm sure they get agitated if you spend all your time speaking to random people on the net rather than sitting down and spending some time with her!

Parents don't care about it, my youngest sister plays on my computer sometimes too.
My dad hates to see me play, so when hes coming up my room, Im always shutting my pc off.
As long as i dont sit in front of my PC all night long
Playing after 11 PM is pretty much impossible since a major flamewar occurs when I do so. Which I .. understand since I find playing at night kinda strange.
I don't even wanna play at night, to tired to play at such time
Now it's better tho, as i play alot less than before.
They just don't understand that online games can't be paused for 30minutes.

or another example:
me: Could we leave a little bit earlier, we got 3 hours to drive and I'm supposed to be home at 19? (official war)
parents: We guess you can wait 1 more hour...
me: Well... so you want that all the 11 other guys have to wait an hour because of me? :----D sure.
That is one problem, people don't seem to know that you aren't alone there playing :) Also, I bet they wonder what on earth are you talking to your PC for :)

But she is also looking a bit after the times i spend on playing... like my mother did when i was younger tbh... she kinda "allows" me only to play at some certain days (around 3 evenings a week)... and tbh i am thankfull about that cause otherwise i would waste even more time playing :D

and my mother dislikes wargames in general. but i m old enough for my own decissions so she doesnt care anymore...
and i am living in my own flat so its no prob anymore :>
the only one i take care of is my gf... she tolerates it but i keep spending the evenings with her until she sleeps. and then i move to the pc

My mom thinks its the waste of time and I spend too much time on computer, but im doing well in real life with school and job that she dosent care.
Girlfriend.. hmm well dont have one, but this is my buisness so dosent concern her.
If I would quit waterpolo practice then my mom and dad would not understood me ^^

Lately, though, she has accepted that I won't give up playing, so she doesn't whine anymore :).

hell yea, back then we had some serious arguments about the gaming shit :I
most of the girls I go out with know that I game regularly, im not advertising it and unless they ask what im going to holland for, I dont mention going to play games. even so, it's not the only reason to visit holland ;)
