Accelfix.exe problem

NorwayZodiac has a accelfix problem and asked me to post this:

QuoteHey guys!

I've got a rather strange problem with accelfix.exe, it doesn't work when I click "Yes." to "Do you want to disable it?".

That's OK though, I just have to boot the safemode, and it will work.

But it only works until I reboot my Windows.

So if I want no accel, I first have to boot to safemode, then to windows.. And do that every time I reboot my PC.

That's quite troublesome, and I would love if anyone could tell me how I can disable accel PERMANENTLY. (with accelfix.exe, or a similar _software_, mousefix.reg just won't do it)

Thanks in advance.

gtfo zodiac
need accelfix problem filter
do it @security mode
in safe mode mate...
Reboot in SAFE MODE > run accelfix.exe > reboot again (just reboot, don't do anything else).
As I already wrote, I am doing it in safe mode. (maybe I explained bad)
And yeah, it DOES work. (even when I reboot from safe mode to normal mode)

Though, when I turn off the PC for the night, and then turn it on the next morning, accel is again ENABLED.

So accelfix.exe only works temporarely for me, which is kinda strange, and I want it to work permanently.
dont turno off pc

Could be windows updater doing it's job, sometimes the updates overwrite system files (pretty logical), so i suggest you either disabling automatic updates or updating to the latest sp3 and latest hotfixes.

In case it doesn't work, would be nice if you share what windows release you are using.

he prolly got xp sp3, he just needs to boot in safe mode, run the exe, and then reboot normally.
