Because perhaps they have just started working on it? I just read this press release:
Originally Threewave were supposed to make the MP for the upcoming Wolfenstein title, perhaps they have been replaced by EndRant, or EndRant is working on downloadable content or something like that.
Also interesting to know is that EndRant also houses some of the former SplashDamage employees who worked on W:ET and ET:QW.

edit after splashdamage infoz
Then game Threewave and finished the maps
No Endrant will finish the job?
This is how I see it, it's not like 3Wave and Nerve worked on the same area. Also, I bet Nerve laid out the basics quite far, and taking ex-SD guys to finish it up isn't a bad choice.
threewave took their place

i have no idea what to say. creating maps without basic gameplay concept would sound stupid.
Did I mention Threewave are not listed on the Wolfenstein website and another yet unrevealed company is?

Pi studios worked on games such as CoD: UO together with Gray Matter.

Now the game is doomed!!!1 ... No, wait. It is wolfensteined!!1
Most of the SP is probably ready and if its true what you're saying that MP don't take too long (alltho games now take more time: graphics and stuff...) then maybe we can see it at christmas already. Would be great.
