cod4 kinda question

I was watching some COD4 videos via QuadV, why do they constantly switch their weapons, I am not talking about the reload.

because other weapons give faster movement, i think.

no i mean like they switch from primary to pistol fast, and its like right before someone is shooting at them.

When you spawn, there is no difference in running speed with your pistol or primary weapon.

If for instance you have an assault rifle (AK47) and pick up a submachine gun (AK74), you move faster when iron scoped and running with the AK74 compared to the AK47. This could be the reason why you see these switches.

Another reason could be the fact that assault > SMG on longer distances.

didnt even notice them removing the speedboost with pistol, kinda gay they removed it

It's never been there, not to my knowledge atleast. It's just a mental thing, in some peoples minds :)
