ET problem (for xeoxis)

He cant post another journal at this time, so i am posting it for him.

[19:16:06] [xeoxis] This suddenly came up when I joined a server.

[19:16:06] [xeoxis] I played this afternoon without any problems and I haven't done anything that could've caused this meanwhile (download or remove something).


Help him pls :(

Already tried to reinstall? (Of course it's final option)

Yea obviously that solution works in the end. But hopefully there's a quicker way to do this.

reinstall takes 20 minutes MAX if you know what to do.

True but I always lose several files after reinstalling. And sometimes even reinstalling doesnt work and I'd have to remove the whole etmain and etpro folder.

maybe it downloaded some files from that server? i suggest you remove all custom pk3 files (ignore the known maps), maybe that helps

reinstall worked for me

also delete any opengl cmd's in ure config, delete etconfig and try again

As i already said, your hdd must be dieing because your et is getting corrupted all the time.

Try to do a intensive scandisk and reinstall et.

looks like an unsupported marker type problem...
