Half broken computer

Ok heres my story:

I tried to download a crack for game from a great site (NOT). What happend now I downloaded some virus bomb, containing 6094056 fake virus/spyware scanners, so I ran hitman, mcafee and other programs and they removed alot of garbage, but the main program is still on my computer.
It cant (mcafee) delete that one because I cant see my harddrive at my computer, anymore so.... u feel it coming: that file is on my C drive, which my computer cant get access to. What do I do now? Are there any programs I dont know of? ppl who had this similar problem, please tell me!

(I cant rly search at google very long, becuz It gets cut off pretty soon by one of those shite programs, so thats why Im asking it here Ronner q;)

Thanks in advance.

Try AVG, its a pretty good virus scanner.
Same problem with Mcafee, It cannot delete the files, restore it or put in quarantaine

you don't need to see your cdrive to format it, go into your bios and select cd drive as first boot device then put in your windows disc and it formats it from there, even if you do manage to remove the virus your windows won't be the way it was so i'd say its best just to format!

gg duroh! xD
Try booting in safe mode and run the virus scan from there.

If that don't work, try to find some decent bootdisk with some antivirus on and run that.

My best advice though is to install Linux :)
loooooooool same happened to me today. My pc is totally fucked up now and i cant do shit. Sitting at my notebook now.
I guess i have to format c:

:((((((((
scan with ad aware whilst running your pc in safemode
no effect, my pc was still fucked up after it.

After i scanned with search and destroy it was a bit better but i wasnt able to connect to the internet

Use Kaspersky (30 day trial or some shit like that) and to delete the non deletable exes and so on use KillBox with Delete on restart. Do that with every file and you should be somewhat fine, still best is, reinstall windows and format C while setup
its important you scan it in safe mode and doin a system restore might be a good idea too :)

format is best solution or try system recovery WITH the windows CD/DVD.
open pc in safe mode and make a new account, this should have all visible drives. It only hides them. Its more annoying than anything. Thats why virus checks cant find it. It has just changed some settings in the System.adm file.

1. Start the Microsoft Management Console. On the Console menu, click Add/Remove Snap-in.
2. Add the Group Policy snap-in for the default domain policy. To do this, click Browse when you are prompted to select a Group Policy Object (GPO). The default GPO is Local Computer.
3. Open the following sections: User Configuration, Administrative Templates, Windows Components, and Windows Explorer.
4. Click Hide these specified drives in My Computer.
5. Go to properties and use do not restrict drives. It may well do the trick.
NOD32 and it wouldn't happen. :|

report this site :X
try kaspersky ;)
