tempting to see conor oberst at leeds festival, although i heard (via proxy) that he got booed off a stage recently?

would be more awesome to hear bright eyes than his solo stuff :|

the solo album is terribly good. its more singalong folksy that cassadaga which was still excellent. i'd love him to do some bright eyes stuff of course, but there is more than enough nice songs from the mystic valley band to satisfy me if he only played that:

eagle on a pole
cape canaveral
danny callahan
moab
get-well-cards
sausalito

etc

edit: he's doing leeds before reading, if you see him text me if he plays any bright eyes material please !

no unfortunately i have this inclination to judge someone on the sound of their name, and while mr waits probably has songs that i'd really like, the fact that his name sounds like an out-of-touch dad-cum-blues singer means i havent given him any time :o(
