Hi all!
I've already written some journals about my problems playing et and other fps games @ Windows vista home premium....
I'd like to thank you for the support you gave me but sadly enough it didn't work out good.
I still have the same fucking problem...
Now that all my hope was gone to fix this problem i tried to install windows xp sp2 on my pc (pc setting you find in my profile).
But this doesn't work out either...
He reads my disc from xp and starts loading the files to install them;
but then there a blue screen with ERROR (no further explanation given).
I did it without formatting vista (to install xp on another partition) but also with formatting vista.

P5Y sais it's because vista is or was installed and that's probably indeed the problem... But can anyone help me fix this problem plz!!!!
I'd kiss the one who could because i'm already living half a year or more without my beloved game ET and i realy can't stand it anymore!

and it's not the disc, cuz it's working on other pc's^^
did but then i still have major fps lag provided by vista
your lag could be by a lot of things tbh
eventhough it didn't work
there are many ppl who have had quite thesame probs with vista; but they all can fix it, like you can install xp without probs...
But i've might bought a useless pc cuz nothing get's fixed at my pc...
i've read every tutorial or journal or thread that could possibily help me on this site...
But nothing fixes my problems :(

e*i read your last jurnal.maybe its cos of graphic card ? do you tested it if she get max performence, cos maybe its fucked
i can perfectly play et only with an 125 fps which lagz :(
it can't be my graphic card cuz it's made to give high performance and i already downloaded all drivers which should fix compatibility problems with older games (probably the fix they direct X10 compatibility)...
that would be very weird...
my whole et carrier (if u can call it like that :p ) i played on my old pc, which has a standart dell graphic card 32bit...
i never played et with more then 30 fps because of my very retarded pc...
but i could play it better then now with 125 fps which lagz very much...
now my view and graphics are way better; but i can't move or shoot fluently^^
i did format with the vista cd and completely removed vista from my pc, then i put in xp disc and installed it; but then i got error...
i didn't even come to the part where i can choose a partition to install xp on^^
i have one internal hd of 500 gb devided in partitions on which i tried to install xp and on which vista was installed...
further i have an external hd of 500 gb on which only software and setups are placed...
maybe you're right but i don't think that my external hd could be the problem for installing xp...
The last thing i'm now thinking to do is buying a new internal hd (not from medion) and try to install xp on that one... but dunno if it will work
