Deutsche Bahnhof - Hamburg

I have to travel from Hamburg to Itzehoe July 31. The website of DB gives two options. Traveling from Hamburg - Altona or Hamburg Hbh. Are these two different places or else? I don't get it.
Help me my german friends.

You should travel from Hamburg-HBH (central station), cause 'Altona' is dirty, hazardous (:Dd.:D://d.D:D:.d.) and full of criminals who like to steal your bags or beat the shit out of you with knifes, guns 'n stuff, it's like beringen mijn.

nah, it depends on the train on which you arrive, the Eurocity goes to Hamburg-Altona, whereas the regional trains only go to Hbf. The train to Itzehoe leaves from Altona so you should go there. From Itzehoe the shuttle busses go directly from the train station. Have fun there, didn't get tickets :<

I don't go by train but I take the bus from Netherlands Utrecht. We arrive at Hbh. I indeed saw the most of the trains to Itzehoe leaves from Altona. We just go by train from Hbh to Altona.
