Shawshank wasn't number 1. Only in the past day or so Shawshank has overtaken The Godfather, which was number 1 at least 99% of the last five years - when I first came across IMDb

Shawshank redemption was nr1 for a long time. It took the place of The Godfather and now batman took that place. But if you just look at how many people have voted than you can see it can change.

lol, well i'd hardly call myself a great critic but when you walk out of t he cinema and one actors performance is your favourite aspect of the film then i'd say he's pretty good :P

I expected almost nothing when I went to see this film, but it was fucking amazing. 9 euros well spent.
Loved Joker, I wanna wear that kind of make-up too!

Overrated @ imdb, but it still was a very good movie.

The bad gadgets just got to me. The ridiculous bike (it even looked like it was impossible to ride), and the 'world monitor' built overnight... Gosh.

Pretty much everything else was spot on. Ledger was amazing. The truck chase scene rocked; can't remember when was the last time I saw a car chase scene delivering such a feeling of ... mass. Reminded me of the bank robbery scene in the beginning of Heat.

The movie felt overly long. 30 minutes of excess footage sould've been cut out. I'd rate it a solid 9.
