You need a camera or dv tape deck for it. Also you need a firewire port on your comp and some program to capture it with (vegas or premiere for example). I would suggest you just try to find a friend who has a DV camera you can borrow, bit too expensive to buy a camera just for one tape. :) There's also shops that do it for you, but dunno more about them in your country.

like VeeTh said, you need a DV-Camera or DV tapedeck to read it back. Usually they use firewire to connect it to the PC.

Most camera's and tapedecks have software added to it to rip the contents of the tape to disk.


What you could do is get one from a store where you have a 7 day no questions asked return policy. Just use it to rip the tape and return it. Don't use the wiring that comes with the box, just leave everything as intact as possible and return it to the store.
