Well im here on holidays in Alcudia, met some Swiss pricks and I wonder what the translation of the word ¨pennen¨ is.. if anyone could quickly reply the answer, thanks a lot!

why should germans learn other languages? everything on TV is dubbed, all books are translated and so on :P
Well of course it depends on the education. When you want to get the highest school exam you have to learn two foreign languages, English and French/Spanish most of the time, Chinese for me.
