Today i received my USB-vinyl-player (or whatever it's called :p).
I'm ripping some of my records to my pc now and it's awesome.
It's easy, quality is fine and most important of all:
i didn't have a working player for months so it's been a while since i've listened to these records.
so far:
The Kids - Naughty Kids (punk)
Ivy Green - s/t (punk)
Abusive Action - s/t (hardcore)
Infest - s/t (hardcore)
good music, good times!

bought it from ibood.com
And "ripping" vinyl with an USB Vinyl Player is bad too.
But I agree that this is actually something really convenient ...
it just has the usb-outlet
i dont get why CDs are mastered so terribly these days yet vinyl seems fine... i think the best recent example of this had to be stadium arcadium

just listen compare the cd audio with the vinyl audio
disgusting really... which is why i prefer vinyl rips from cd rips :\
otherwise my hearing is fucked :<
I guess im a noob then, I kinda enjoy the 'full' CD studio sound more then the LP : (
could be my nooby headphones though messing around with the sounds/bass though
"However, as the maximum amplitude of a CD is at a fixed level, the overall loudness can only be increased by reducing the dynamic range. This is done by pushing the lower level program material higher while the loudest peak sounds are either destroyed or severely diminished. Certain extreme uses of compression can cause distorting or clipping the waveform of the recording."
i didn't know smth like this exist! 1st really great thing i discovered @ xf :D
