specimen, switch in between xhair 1,2,3, etc and 9. You'll see the xhair moving position! Which one is in the middle????

make a screenshot and look if it's in the midle
lol xD dot is in the middle ! dont worry,
its 1 pixel, you wouldn't notice while playing
You can align crosshairs for your own requirements:
cg_crosshairx
cg_crosshairy

Also useful if you constantly shoot too low or overshoot the heads :)

Btw hitboxes are so big you even don´t miss if u aim aside the models, so 1 pixel is not a big prob i guess.
that is because when cg_drawCrosshair is 9, the dot is 1 pixel in size and in order to be in center for real, it would have to be drawn between these 2 points: [center - 0.5pixel],[center + 0.5pixel). that is of course impossible so the dot is drawn with 1 pixel difference in both vertical and horizontal direction

and other crosshairs have larger dots so they're drawn properly (i.e. [center-2px],[center+2px])
i can eat more then 10 slices of pizza...

thanks
i like you too
see what chaplja wrote
also if you use CRT monitor you should set convergence ideally in the middle of the screen to get crosshair right in the middle.
as for me i use red dot (#5) at r_mode 6, size = 40
btw there're some aimers who use #9 like tekoa, you just need to make it rly small and to get used to it (using smth like 9 is a bit different from using dot, read feuersturm's note http://users.kymp.net/feuer/mousepads/additional.html )
hm i use 5 on near and 9 on distance..
when i open your profiel then i get the #404 error :D
mine:

seta crouch1 "+movedown; cg_drawcrosshair 9; cg_crosshairalpha 0; cg_crosshairalphaalt 1"
seta crouch2 "-movedown; cg_drawcrosshair 15; cg_crosshairalpha 1; cg_crosshairalphaalt 0"
bind ctrl "+vstr crouch1 crouch2"
