and i guess you have an old proc if you have an AGP bus, what your proc and which socket?
well, first, don't choose hd 4870
then as motherboard... what about MSI K9N Neo-F v3?
mmm MSI K9N Neo-F v3 58€ nice \o/
well, 4870 has, indeed, amazing performances, but costs ~215€ while 4850 has good perfs for only ~140€.
so i'd suggest you to take the 4850, but in case you want perfs better wait for the 4870 x2.
he sounds like an nvidia fanboy :X
And it just costs 210e \o/
ty
-> around 170€ left for new mainboard and psu
does that 170€ also include cpu?
if you're looking for a cheap but good PSU, get Fortron or Chieftec. Both are very good for the price, i'd advise you get 500-600w range
I'm buying from conrad.de since I got 200€ coupon there
a 400w fortron for example costs 25eur in estonia, and it costs 60eur in conrad.de
and computerparts etc are usaully much more expensive in estonia than they should be. new videocards etc are 2x - 3x the USA price :p
i dont know anything about amd motherboards so i cant help you picking out that though :P
you make it sound as tho the 4870 NEEDS an AM2 socket to run..

btw: nice starting every sentence with "I have" D:
