FPZ LAGZ?

Whenever i am playing ET using VENTRILO [/u] my fps drops to 40-60 and makes the game very shaky and stuff. Anyone knows how to solve this? When i don't use vent, i have no probs, do you think i should decrease the priority of vent maybe? Thanks

btw that avi made about me is not me, i was in the bathroom when it happened, my cat downloaded it :(

on board soundcard or seperate? Some onboard sound cards like realtek ac97 use system processor for sound, as an oppose to having a seperate soundcard with its own processor/memory. The one on my asus board when i played ET lagged me like hell when there was a lot of noise as it used a lot of processing. I got a soundblaster and since then no lag.

don't think its onboard something like "Creative" with 3 inputs only. and yeah sometimes i lag with the sound of an airtsrike lol :D

Just to let you know that was my mom. She got the download off my friends server. She did not know. So before you guys go and talk stuff just be aware that is my mother.... Shes very mad ATM for getting kicked for something that wasnt her fault. I have talked to my friend. And i got him so mad that he shut down his server. Thats just to let you know whats going on.

have got the same problem dude, its prolly cause you have a lot of processes running (etbot and stuff, try to close them). Vent + ET can only be stable if you have nice cpu or few processes. its due to the audio codecs each vent server uses, with some you lag more than the others, just change vent server till you find one that suits you
