Calling ppl who's first name is Tapio with the nickname "Tapsa" irl is quite common in Finland and my big brother's friends always called me Tapsa also when I was little. Then some other ppl like my sister for example started calling me Tapsa irl.

My name is Michal, in english Michael. I wanted my nick to be somehow connected with my name so I put 'o' to it, and then there was michaelo. But I had a friend that used to call me 'majkole'. If you say it (speaking like some polish word), it sounds quite similar to 'michaole'. And I just like it much more :P

hm..my nick comes from my rl name.. double name = Jan - Martin .. after we have a lot of "Jan"s in Germany my classmates startet to call me Jey M and one time one of my friends writs this down like JeyÄm .. i liked is so much that i took it as nick in et and stay with that one :P

When I first started using IRC back in 2004, I was desperate to pick up a nick, and then my friend siad that it takes just three days..
Well, magic happened, and I started to think about latin birdnames & other stuff, and then it went like this:
First there is this bird:


It's called 'Buteo Buteo' in latin. I liked the 'uteo' part in the name, and therefor I started to make some combinations of it:

final outcome => Uteoz

i just had the idea to take iiky as nick at first it was iky but then anyone was like "hey iky= i kill you?" but it has nothing to do with it :D it was just a inspiration one day.

everyone was calling me Fasolka since i remember. But my mom was first who used it. She was talking to me, when i was in her tummy 26 years ago 0_o

My great example was my older nevue(?). He was the one who got me into RtCW. He used the name of a Belgian music band CPeX. I liked the idea of the -EX name so that's why after a while I came up with the name Fex. Before I played with Fex I used Wolfensteinplayer (random RtCW name =>) and die_another_day. But using Fex already for 5 years or so now =)

My last name ("Kennis") means in latin "scientia".

Hullu Pullo, my favourite club back then. No one could ever say Pullo right, like Freedune for example. I decided to shorten it. There was someone with the name of HuPu already @ finpubs, and he was total ass, so i decided to be HuPo. After hanging out with mAke I made my H artisticly a small h and kept the P big. Big-P. I was reading greek mythology and stumbled upon HYPERION the Titan god of light.

Also the name means "watcher from above" from the greek words hyper and ion, which seemed to be a pretty cool name to me ;)

So i decided to use that as my nickname when I started playing Quake3 Railonly Instagib *g* in Summer 1999.
