Parent
dont worry, i will pay with camals
Parent
Drugs are exchanged with camels ... wow ... thats new ... i thuoght camels where only used for buying women ...
Parent
dis iz how we do it in the west side
Parent
Too hillbilly to know The Offspring
Parent
i think ddr3 would be better
There is hardly a performance increase ... i checked that allready.
Parent
DDR3 is too expensive for the defrent betwin DDR2/3..
he better put his money on other parts
Parent
well, take the money from cpu, there is no matter how good cpu u have when u have shitty rams, rams are basically 1st thing to look when u start building your own pc and i would rather take very high end rams and a bit shittier cpu/gpu
Parent
Well, i hope your kidding
Parent
and why do u think that?
do u know anything about computers and how they work? i mean how ram and cpu work together and how they are related to each other and that u can never use cpu's full power because rams cant give enough info to cpu that cpu could actually work with
Parent
..

if the RAM was limiting so
1. E8400 and E8600 will give the same resluts, becuse there max performance will be blocked anyway no?

2. People that understand better then you + me together would advice about DDR3, but as you can see, noone use it.

maybe better ram will give a better performance, but the other parts are more importants..

btw, the Hard Drive is making the PC slower..
Parent
I've been through many benchmark tests and there is rly no difference ... but i also know there isnt only benchmarks ;)

do you know what kinda improval you have with ddr 3?
Parent
shitty rams ?:DD:D:D:D:D
Parent
you're saying OCZ are shit?

aynway, DDR3 is too expensive fot the tiny improvement in performance that it gives atm, DDR3 will probably be put into better use when nehalems come, now DDR2 is a better option
Parent
am i?
imo i was talking there of overall and did i mention anything about OCZ
Parent
why would you speak general, I don't get it, you said DDR3 would be better and you got the response that it wouldn't, then you start talking about shitty RAM for no reason because the guy who intends to buy this is buying OCZ which is kinda good, so what's the point in that speech :/

look for yourself:
Quotethere is no matter how good cpu u have when u have shitty rams....and i would rather take very high end rams and a bit shittier cpu/gpu

he isn't buying shit RAM so all this is kind of redundant
Parent
I think DDR3, 2x HD4870 X2, 1000W PSU, X48 mobo, QX9770 would be better..
doubt that
Parent
i would take a better Supply power..
take E8400, put the money in other parts..
put some LAN Party mainboard..
take pioneer DVD
and the CPU Cooler is not nessecery unless you want to OC it
i also would pick an Western Digital 320GB hd
thats it i guess :P
y E8400?
and better supply = more power or better brand?
Parent
about the power supply, hmm maybe Crosshair 550 vx will be good here

about the CPU, the E8400 is enought for this PC, put the money in other parts, but thats your option.. watch benchmarks.. its about 2790 vs 2930 @ 3dMark 06
Parent
ah ok. do you know if it is also silent?
and what do you think about maybe Q6600 ?
Parent
Q6600 is a peace of crap.. if u want a Q CPU so check the Q9450, Q9400 or Q9300..

but i wouldnt take a Quad cpu..
Parent
yep thats what i heard too. so i stay with E8400/E8600 ...
Parent
E8600? thought 8500 is your max.. :P

btw i dont know how it is outside of Isreal, but in our PC shops, we can like "build PC online".
there is any site like this where ever you live? i think that u can get HD4870x2 for that money :d
Parent
eauh E8500 (fucking numbers)

What does the x2 imrove?
Parent
:D ok

the x2 is like 2 PC like you putted on your PC, but together, like 1 GPU..

the best graphic card atm
Parent
ah ok ... but it is 400 euro in my onlineshop :<
Parent
Oh thats bad.. leave it :<
Parent
ROFLOLOLLLOL
why the fuck u take E instead of Q??!?%?%?%
E8400 is the best gamers option for his money atm

better?
Parent
I know ... but RAM isnt that expensive ... is 2 GB enough for gaming etc with XP?
2 GB will be enought, but 4 will be better.. stick with the 4
Parent
are you using 32-bit or 64-bit XP?
Parent
btw who is paying for that computer? :D
Me ofc:

Im workind during night for 4 weeks from 22.00 to 6.00.
Normal holiday workers gain 14,40€/h but night shift means +65% which are 23,76€ (I hope i calculated correctly :X)

23,76€/h * 8 = 190,08€ Per Day
I work ecaxtly 20 regular days
190,08€ * 20 = 3801,6€

as if this wouldnt be enough i worked on some saturdays and at the end of the month every division gets special premiums. so expect about 4200€ for 4 weeks. and ofc as i am a student i dont have to pay taxes ;)

in your face! :D
Parent
not rly, you have to pay taxes even as student.. 40-50% because I bet you're not married etc.
Parent
Yep ofc i have to. but i get it back by the end of the year.
Parent
lies from a german
Parent
wanna see my paycheck? oO
Parent
you mean fake paycheck
Parent
no seriously ... why do you think it is a lie? ^^
Parent
cuz thats a lot than the average salary
there are ppl who work more than 20 years and they dont earn as much as you earn...
Parent
lol! this is holidaywork. and 14,40 per hour is much but not THAT much.^^ and i can only do it one time a year. otherwise i would have to pay taxes too.
Parent
CPU Cooler: Scythe Mugen, Thermaltake IFX-14 or, my favourite, Noctua NH-U12P. Dont forget to buy corresponding mounting kits (~3€) to avoid the feckin push-pins. Zalman was good years ago but nowadays others are state-of-the-art.

HD: WD32000AAKS or WD64000AAKS

MB: No need for deluxe, P5Q or P5QE is ok.

Supply: Enermax Modu+82 425 or maybe 525
Didnt find the supply you proposed ... what do you think about this one?

ATX-Netzteil Corsair TX650W 650 Watt

arctic cooler pro 7 = cheaper and regarded as one of the best.

need a better power supply
That great.. ye

personaly, i would take 2 320GB harddrives instead of 1 620GB if possible
and the Pioneer DVD, i knew its less popular but its better
Parent
go for E8400 and overclock it + a better PSU

better?
Parent
yes PSU is alot better, but why don't you buy a boxed CPU? stock cooler is enough if you don't want to overclock, or just a little.
Parent
dunno .. thought the standard cooler sucks ... the strange thing is, the box is even cheaper then the one i chose ...
Parent
stock cooler is enough for stock speeds, otherwise they won't give you that cooler with it.
Parent
Consider about getting one
