Fix-it-all guys and girls

First problem (and the more important one) is the headphones molding.

image: wiring

so basically its 3 wires coming from the main cord. they must go trough the L-speaker. 2 wires are coming from the R-Speaker. if someone has fixed something like this before or knows how the wiring should go, plx halp. I fixed it once already but another unknown problem arrived so I had to open all the wiring and cant remember how I had it before.

second problem is microphone,

image: microphone

the cord has only 2 wires and the pin to attach microphone to the cord has 3 slots.

with my SteelSeries 5hv2 i had to get a pair of new wires (but i didn't do it ofc, send it to the store) moi headset = 6 months max.
Parent
so just because you did that, instead of max 5 min soldering, I should do the same?
Parent
killerboy = killerboy
Parent
depends on your wiring skills ofc :D

Just did the same with my Steelsound 5hv2, removed the old wires, putted some better wires in :P
you have the wires going with same 'pattern'?
Parent
How do you mean "pattern" ? :D it works so..
Parent
well how did u connect the wires?
Parent
domi just did something.. cmon he's is not that smart :[
Parent
Well, you have a "red" and a "normal" coloured wire (atleast in mine they are at each side) so just had to connect red with red and normal with normal

and if you connect them wrong > red + normal (you will hear it when you try them)
Parent
so the pattern is different, did u even look at the pic on the journal?
Parent
i dont get the pic :XD to confusing :DDd
Parent
:/ gl fixing mine normally get thrown around too much to be fixed but my headset is like 8e so np ... imo lots of duct tape
I only need to find the right order for the wires, other than that its perfectly fine.
Parent
hmm gl :} give updates if you do save it
Parent
How about testing it? Got the same problem, just put some song on and start connecting the wires
Parent
tried that, sound worked in both speakers but it was kinda fucked up, thus I dont want to go and try every combination.
Parent
If the sound worked, then you propably had the right combination. Solder them together and see if the qualite changes
Parent
I soldered them together, not the first time im doing this kind of stuff :k
Parent
Oh.. Doesn't the quality change and rattle a bit if the wires is touching eachother? Not sure about this but id try to tape the wires so they dont touch eachother
Parent
it depends on the part of the wire, but no, the problem wasnt that.
Parent
duct tape fixes everything!
Parent
you know it
Parent
Just be careful with the heat from the solder. Last time I fixed a set of headphones, I think the heat fucked up something in one of the earphones, as the sound was never the same again.
new electrician found "wtf can't remember how those were :o"
point being?
Parent
next time you understand. do not start to dismantle before you can remember how you can install those back
Parent
I had dismantled them before this and since they werent working with this setup out of a sudden, I had to dismantle them again, still following?
Parent
3o3 time kRONEtARD.
