Disk error

Hey guys I'm having serious problem with my brother's pc. Out of nowhere the pc doesnt want to boot up and says "a disk read error has occurred press ctrl+alt+del to restart". Ofc I googled a bit but the information I found is too uncertain, some say that the hdd is dead others suggest doing complex bios operations. Can somebody explain to me in plain english how the fuck do I fix this? :( Thx fwd

sounds like hdd is fucked :(
put the hdd in your pc and test it there.

maybe there is a image: YE0233146_a
inside it, can cause errors and cant start PC, but im not sure if its THAT error

I had the same problem. My hdd was dead - damaged through some kind of blow.

download and burn Hiren's BootCD:

there is a lot of repairing and diagnosing tools

Lucky bastard ! My hdd unfortunately was damaged, but I got new one :-)
