OMFG VIRUS!

I downloaded a game (ye rly, game not pron), and i have some kind of fucking viruss... everytime i turn on computer it is reseted in 15 seconds... my only chance is to taskmanager and kill the process when it reveals... so how to block that process permanently?

start > run > msconfig > startup > uncheck it.. might work

hmm it told me there is nothing like msconfig... :/
it say i have to type it correctly :D

what OS? if you have XP "msconfig" should be correct, unless the virus disabled it or sth (dno if it's possible)

Just run taskmanager and kill the process when it reveals every time.

ye but sometimes, ym hands arent so fast as the process is, and it rly annoying to see your computer reseting 20 times...

see it from the postive side....ur aim gets better from that + ur brain has to work faster ;)

look..in 1-2 month ur so fast that ur et skill will be like highskill :)

wich process?
wich game was installed?

Wich might work is: go to "hijackthis.de" download their software to make a logfile.
-> make a logfile and an account there. Post it there as told in their faq.
Those guys should be able to help you, "kinda" fast, but most important: for free.

ye we have something similiar czech forum, but i have it only as a last chance.. anyway, maybe i will use them now :]


btw warcraft 3 -> os winXP and the process is like nmbw or nmwb

jep same here, simply cause it takes some time for the guys to figure out what exactly isnt working proper.

Also something you can try is, if u made a "restore point" at ur pc. simply restore it. Then run it under "save mod" and make a rootkit search with a trial version of "kaspersky" + bitdefender and some other tools wich you can find at hijackthis.de or probly also at ur czech forum.

If u dont made a "restore point" , also run ur system under "save mod" and let all "trustfully!, and serious" anti-vir tools run, in some cases that works.

It's nothing special,just a simple virus..
Which wrote itself into registry,so it starts on start up,then counting down 20 secs,after reboots...
10 years old kiddies can write,stuff like that

install antivirus on a different pc.
take out the harddisk of the infected pc
hook it to the other pc that has antivirus on it
run that pc in safemode
scan the infected drive with the antivirus software

and if all fails, backup stuff and reinstall
